Something Different....

Found this car featured at used car dealer in Japan. Unique Coupe model with a slightly different dash board gauges, overhead console, and a Honda 145 motor.

The successors of the technically interesting, but probably type less successful because of the air-cooled engine 1300 became under the name 145 built from 1972 to 1974. That 145 however probably appeared to the Japanese as Abgesang on a past time, because itself the more modern Civic already conquered the market. Therefore only 9,736 units (sedans and Coupés) were built.

The new, liquid-cooled 1.45 l engine, which looks at first sight like an Civic engine, became into those practically unchanged body of the predecessor 1300 blocked. However that received 145 Coupé Rectangle headlight like the sedan of the Ur-version of the model 77. Even the chassis was not changed.

It is worth mentioning that the model FI of the 145 Coupé for increase in output of Honda first series vehicle with one (indirect, mechanically steered) Fuel injection became.

In the year 1973 - one year before attitude of production - Honda brought that 145 Coupé still with an automatic transmission on the market.
